| #1 Question: What is an Affiliate Program? |
| Answer: An affiliate program is the process of you getting paid to send buying customers to our website. You will put our ads provided for you in your affiliate control panel on your website. These ads are coded with a special code that identifies you. Every time a purchase is made by someone you sent to our site we will pay you a percentage of the sale. |
| #2 Question: Do I need a website to become an affiliate? |
| Answer: Unfortunately we do now require that you own a website in order to become an affiliate. Due to problems with spam with users who sign up and do not own a website we have been required to take this step. Promoting your affiliate link via email and other methods that are not in a nature of spam are still allowed however the promotion of your link must be to your own email list or customers. |
| #3 Question: What methods of advertising my affiliate link are permitted? |
| Answer: For starters do understand that any advertising method that is spam or spam related will result in your account being deleted without commission. You must own a website in order for your application to be an affiliate to be accepted. We still allow advertising via email and other methods that are not spam related as long as the customers you are emailing have opted in to receive your mailings. Do not advertise to people against their will just because you have their email address. I don't think we are any more able to make it perfectly clear that we do not condone spam and will not tolerate it being related to our business. |
| #4 Question: I have made enough sales this month to be promoted to the next earning level. When will I get promoted? |
| Answer: In order to be promoted to the next affiliate earning level you of course first have to have made enough sales this month to be promoted. If you have achieved this then open a support ticket within your affiliate control panel requesting an affiliate level promotion. We will then review your sales for the month and if you qualified you will be promoted to the next level and notified of your promotion via the support ticket you opened. |
| #5 Question: Can I be demoted to a lower affiliate earning level? |
| Answer: No, once promoted you can not go lower in earnings. Once you are promoted to the next earning level you can only go up from there not down. |
| #6 Question: I know a sale was made through my affiliate link but I do not see the commission? |
| Answer: Every sale made is manually reviewed and approved by the administration. All sales are reviewed in the order in which they were received. Once the sale you referred to our site is approved you will see your commission immediately. |
| #7 Question: What if a sale I referred to Cheap To Download is Refunded to the customer? |
| Answer: Since Cheap To Download sells only digital products that can be downloaded after purchase there is very rarely any situation where a refund will be issued to a customer since in our case we are unable to get the product back. However in the event a situation should occur that we refund a sale a charge back will be issued and the commission will be deducted from your balance. If this happens you will be able to see within your account if a charge back was issued or not. Again, this is a very rare occurrence. |
| #8 Question: What if I refer a customer to Cheap To Download but they do not buy anything until a couple days later? |
| Answer: Not a problem. Once a customer arrives at our site after being referred by you a 6 month cookie is set in place. This means anytime within 6 months that the customer chooses to make a purchase you will still receive commission for the referred sale. |
| #9 Question: Thinking of breaking the rules? Dont even try and heres why. A Note to the Spammers and Scammers.. |
| Answer: Spamming your affiliate link to others damages the integrity of Cheap To Download's reputation. We will delete your account immediately for this offense without pay. Our sophisticated program here tells us everywhere you have placed one of our affiliate links the moment someone clicks on them. We will know immediately who the link belongs to and your account will be deleted. As well every sale made is manually verified by an administrator so trying to commit commission fraud will be a waste of your time. Anyone who uses a method of Spam to advertise their affiliate link will result in your account being deleted without pay. No first time warnings or anything, just a deleted account. Cheap to Download prides ourself in being customer friendly and trustworthy. Any attempt to damage that attribute will not be tolerated. |
